Available Courses - Click Course Title for more InfoBasic Cookery (Level 3) This first level course in professional chef training is designed to give a complete foundation in professional cookery, food and beverage service. Students gain the skills required to work in a professional kitchen or dining room at a junior level. Professional Cookery (Level 4) This course is designed to follow on from the Certificate of Professional Cookery (Level 3) qualification. It provides training in complex cookery skills to enable students to enter the industry above a junior level. This is the highest qualification for professional cookery obtainable in New Zealand. Basic Barista Training: Learn the techniques of espresso beverage preparation from mastering the perfect ‘shot’ to correctly texturing dense, velvety milk for flat whites, lattes, cappuccinos and mocha variations. Gateway: Basic Barista Skills: This course is designed for Year 12 and 13 high school students to learn the basic techniques of espresso beverage preparation in anticipation of gaining work experience as a barista in cafes and restaurants. Licence Controller: This qualification is now a pre-requisite for all applications to local district councils nationwide for a bar manger’s certificate to manage licensed premises. |
